Honoring Our Veterans

In recognition of Veteran’s Day, Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park would like to honor all of our nation’s veterans. The harbor’s military past spans the history of our nation: from the siege of Boston during the Revolutionary War, to the Civil War prisoner of war facility at Fort Warren, to the 20th century radio school on Gallops Island—men and women from every conflict served dutifully here in preservation of our nation and its values. Please enjoy this video to learn more about these stories. Thank you for your service!
