Temporary Ban on All Open Flame and Charcoal Fires at Massachusetts State Parks
Effective immediately, and continuing until further notice, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will implement a temporary ban on all open flame and charcoal fires across the entire Massachusetts State Parks System in an effort to prevent wildland fires due to severe drought conditions. During the temporary ban, small portable propane grills are still allowed at campgrounds and recreation areas where grilling is permitted.
