Outer Brewster Island
Rocky landscaping and salt spray roses add to the natural charm of Outer Brewster Island.
Private Boater Information:
Moorings at Peddocks are temporarily closed for maintenance and are not accepting reservations at this time. However, the public ferries to Peddocks are running on a regular schedule.
The jagged landscape rises and falls like the Atlantic with saltspray rose scattered about the rocky shoreline. Over the years, Outer Brewster Island has seen little disturbance, with the exception of a few structures built for coastal defense. It is a popular site for birding, as waterfowl such as Common Eider ducks and Glossy Ibis use the island for breeding ground.
Visitors can enjoy sightseeing, witness wildlife in its natural habitat, or take a stroll along the island’s walking trails.
