Outer Brewster Island

Rocky landscaping and salt spray roses add to the natural charm of Outer Brewster Island.

The jagged landscape rises and falls like the Atlantic with saltspray rose scattered about the rocky shoreline. Over the years, Outer Brewster Island has seen little disturbance, with the exception of a few structures built for coastal defense. It is a popular site for birding, as waterfowl such as Common Eider ducks and Glossy Ibis use the island for breeding ground.

Visitors can enjoy sightseeing, witness wildlife in its natural habitat, or take a stroll along the island’s walking trails.
