Tropical Sounds Get Down on Spectacle Island

Join A Trike Called Funk on Spectacle Island for a funky & festive trip through the Americas without ever leaving Boston Harbor!

Each Tropical Sounds Get Down will run for two hours:

The first hour will feature a dance class led by an instructor specializing in dance traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The second hour will be an open dance party featuring music by a guest DJ specializing in the musical genres from those same geographic regions, with a focus on Latin traditions on July 4th, Brazilian traditions on July 9th, and Caribbean traditions on July 23rd.

So come on out to dance the day away with A Trike Called Funk!

About A Trike Called Funk
A.a.Ron Myers and Ed Word Galan are a dynamic duo who share a love for music, dancing, and community building. In the summer of 2021, they co-founded A Trike Called Funk, which is a quirky front-loading tricycle with its own sound system and portable dance floor. Through interactive mix of family-friendly, funk-related music and movement, A.a.Ron & EdWord energize spaces, unleash creativity, and build community everywhere they pedal & park A Trike Called Funk.
