Join a Park Ranger on a walk to historic Long Wharf and explore how Boston Harbor played a central role in the stories of enslavement and freedom seekers.
During the 18th century, Long Wharf served as the entry point for enslaved individuals forced migration to the colony. Following the American Revolution, Boston and its port became an important stop on the Underground Railroad.
Tour begins at the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center, located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, next to the carousel.

Nearest T stop from tour start is Aquarium. Short walking distance from South Station and Haymarket.
