Join us for a FREE day of fishing and fun at Castle Island!
Come to Castle Island for a day of fishing and fun!
- Learn how to fish for and identify striped bass and winter flounder with the Massachusetts Division of Marine FisheriesDivision of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife), and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Rods and other supplies will be provided!
- Meet National Park Service Rangers and be sworn in as an *official* Boston Harbor Islands Junior Ranger
- Play games, color, and learn “what not to flush” from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA)
- Learn about Boston Harbor’s biodiversity and meet *real crabs* with Save the Harbor/Save the Bay
- Try your hand at fishing and nature games with the Trustees Mobile Adventures team.
- Bring your own picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy with a view!
- Explore the trails of Deer Island on your own
- Discover other exciting Boston Harbor Islands events coming this season!
Important Registration Notes
This is a free event, completely open to the public. No tickets are required.
Fishing instruction will be on a first come, first-served basis and limited to 20 minutes per participant to accommodate as many future anglers as possible
