Meet Maria

Maria DeLaundreau
Maria is our new and first-ever Supervisory Biologist. She joins us from recent work in the US Army Corps of Engineers regulatory teams in Minnesota and Concord, MA, where she managed permitting and projects in wetlands, rivers, lakes, and coastal environments. Maria has also served on a technical team for hurricane response, served as a temporary tribal liaison in Seattle, WA and founded the Minneapolis Army Corps office’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team. She has also worked with the NPS Inventory and Monitoring program at Isle Royale National Park, and managed science, partnerships, and volunteers for a restoration project on the upper Mississippi River in Minnesota. In her free time, you can find Maria botanizing, paddling, or making textile crafts. She lives in Waltham with her wife Sarah and dog Teddy.
