Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park is for everyone! The Boston Harbor Islands Partnership is committed to providing free and reduced-fare opportunities for groups and individuals.

Library Pass Program

50% off passes to the Boston Harbor Islands are available at participating Boston-area libraries through the Museum Pass program.

This program offers library cardholders the opportunity to purchase ferry tickets at 50% off for up to four people using a unique discount code. Ferries are boarded at Long Wharf North in Downtown Boston.

Community Cruises

Community Cruises

Boston Harbor Now hosts a series of free community cruises each year that invite different communities of Boston-area residents to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural history of Boston Harbor.

Cruises serve a variety of neighborhoods and communities. If you are an organizer interested in bringing a community group to one of these events, please email us at access@bostonharbornow.org

Community Cruises are organized in partnership with local community partners and tickets to each community cruise will be made available through the respective partner organizations. If you would like to be notified if a cruise becomes available for your neighborhood, sign up here.

Save the Harbor Spectacle Island

Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s All Access Boston Harbor program offers free day trips to Georges and Spectacle Islands for chaperoned groups of youth and teens.

Program staff offer free fishing, crabbing, and other hands-on activities to help your group explore the Boston Harbor Islands.

$5 Weekend

Visit Spectacle Island for just $5 in celebration of the Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park 2026 season!

Help us close out the 2026 season right by visiting Spectacle Island for just $5 on Saturday, October 10 and  Sunday, October 11.

Tickets are now available online to reserve and purchase. Tickets purchased in-person are first come, first serve, so we recommend purchasing in advance.
