Innovation Islands: Boston Harbor Island Orienteering
Innovation Islands mini-grant recipient Navigation Games invites those interested in orienteering for an afternoon of orienteering on Peddocks Island!
Navigation Games is a non-profit based out of Cambridge, MA geared towards providing orienteering-based education in the greater Boston area since 2015. Join them for a sprint-format orienteering experience in collaboration with the New England Orienteering Club! This event is geared towards intermediate to advanced orienteers, but anyone interested in trying out orienteering is welcome to join. We encourage you to join Navigation Games on Georges Island on August 17th!
Directions: Departure will be from Hingham. Parking options are available, but we recommend carpooling, public transit whenever possible.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURES SCHEDULE
11:00AM: Arrive to Hingham for check in
12:00PM: Ferry departs from Hingham
12:35PM: Ferry arrives at Peddocks Island
2:45PM: Return to board departing ferry
3:15PM: Ferry departs from Peddocks Island
~3:50PM: Ferry arrives back at Hingham
Please bring sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and a way to carry your trash back with you. Snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring food as necessary. Remember that Peddocks Island follows a strict pack in/pack out policy: All items including trash brought with you must go back with you. There are no trashcans on the island.
