Innovation Islands: Yabás – A Destination Celebration of Female Spirits
Come to Spectacle Island with Innovation Islands mini-grant recipient A Trike Called Funk! Join in for an afternoon of Afro-Brazilian music and dance.
A Trike Called Funk is a Boston-based creative venture engaging participants through music and dance forms spanning the African diaspora. To celebrate the mythological female spirits called Yabás, participants will listen to a live DJ spin Brazilian music, join in on a Afro-Brazilian dance workshop, and enjoy a free-standing art display. We encourage you to join A Trike Called Funk on Spectacle Island on July 7th!
