DCR Park Serve Day at Peddocks Island
Come join the Department of Conservation and Recreation, the National Park Service and volunteer stewards for our Annual Park Serve Day!
Help us remove marine debris enhancing native ecosystems and natural processes on Peddocks Island.
Directions: Departure will be from Hingham Shipyard (1 Shipyard Dr #1a, Hingham, MA 02043). Parking is available.
Timing: Everyone should arrive by 9:30am, the boat departs at 10am. We will return to the mainland by 2pm.
What to wear: Long-sleeved shirts, long pants, socks, closed-toe shoes, and layers for the weather. Conditions can be unpredictable so please monitor the weather in the days leading up to the event and dress appropriately.
What to bring: Please bring a lunch and reusable water bottles. Bring all your water for the day! Sunscreen and a hat are always recommended. Tools will be provided.
Event will run rain or shine, however, may be cancelled due to severe weather.
You must be 6 years or older to participate. Youth aged 6-14 may participate under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. Youth aged 15-17 may participate without a parent or guardian present at the event but waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian beforehand.
