Celebrate the launch of A Boston Harbor Island Adventure: The Great Brewster Journal of 1891 with views of Great Brewster Island.
In a special book party on Saturday, July 15, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Georges Island, the Friends of the Boston Harbor will celebrate the 132-year anniversary of the beginning of a journey to Great Brewster Island with four intrepid women. Their story is told in the just-published A Boston Harbor Island Adventure: The Great Brewster Journal of 1891, a volunteer effort led by author Stephanie Schorow to print and annotate the remarkable journal the women created. Come and talk to the authors of the book, purchase a signed copy, and hear a special reading from the journal at 1:30 p.m., with Great Brewster Island in the background.
