Soulful Bliss: Arts and Music Festival
Join us on a cruise to experience, enjoy, and appreciate the Harbor and Spectacle Island!
In partnership with Boston Harbor Now, State and National Parks and AfroDesiaCity are excited to announce the second mobile edition of “Soulful Bliss: Arts and Music Festival” on Spectacle Island. A cruise for young professionals of color to experience, enjoy, and appreciate their Harbor and Spectacle Island through programming that touches on the threats of climate change, arts advocacy and social justice, inclusive fitness, games, food & drink, and live music.
Tickets include:
- A round-trip ferry ride to Spectacle Island
- Live music and arts
- Food & drink for purchase from Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen and Night Shift Brewing
- Breathtaking sunset views of the Boston skyline
- Cardio Dance fitness class with TRILLFIT
- After-hours access to the Island
Directions: Guests must arrive at Long Wharf North *by 2:00 pm* to board the ferry to Spectacle Island. It will depart promptly at 2:30 pm and will not wait for late arrivals. No refunds will be issued if you miss the boat.
The return ferry will depart Spectacle Island at 6:00 pm, with a 6:30 pm scheduled to return to Boston. *Please note that the Harbor can be busy in the evening, which can cause unforeseen delays.*
Other important information:
- Walk-up ticket purchases are accepted for private boaters.
- Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited, and any alcohol purchased on-island must be kept within the marked perimeter.
- No pets allowed

DJ Motivate Merren: Music Curator, a creative Visionary who expresses his ideas through music & events
Fredrick Woodard III: Fredrick Woodard III is a Dorchester, Massachusetts violinist whose style ranges from R&B and Jazz to hip hop reggae and Afro beats. He has performed locally and nationwide and is an educator for students in the Berklee city music program.
SharlaFabulous: SharlaFabulous has been a performing artist since the age of 7, having worked with Evelyn Champagne King, Thelma Houston, Herb Reed’s Platters, Lisa Bello/Mike MRF, and American Idol as a Season 5 contestant. Soulful, hip hop, R&B singer whose goal is to make audiences feel good!
Caleb McCoy: Caleb McCoy is a Bostonian rapper, musician, and producer who has branded his style as OAK music. The OAK, or the One of A Kind, is a commitment to artistry with a deep-rooted, unique, and prolific message. When you experience OAK music, you will hear honesty and authenticity. But don’t sleep, the lyrics are courageous, and the wordplay is ferocious. But is it One of A Kind? Listen and see for yourself. Caleb has an extensive musical catalog and other ways to support and engage with his content.

Everything we do is in partnership with public agencies, communities and private and non-profit partners. We encourage people to explore Boston’s waterfront and Islands through promoting and hosting hundreds of free and low-cost recreational, cultural and social events. We partner with the Mass Department of Transportation to develop and advance a Boston Harbor-wide water transportation plan for expanded ferry service. We co-manage and improve visitor experiences of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park. We partner with the City of Boston and waterfront communities to prepare for sea level rise while promoting outstanding waterfront open space. We support investment and innovation in Boston’s working port to better support our 21st Century maritime economy.
City Awake City Awake is the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s premier young professional platform that awakens and empowers the city’s next generation of thought leaders and change makers who are navigating Boston’s business, civic, and cultural communities. The curriculum includes monthly programming that will highlight at least one of the following categories: civic engagement, words of wisdom events, volunteer sign-ups, networking nights, or diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. City Awake is for individuals navigating the early stages of their career and looking to participate in flexible programming that educates, inspires, and connects.
RC Productions: Based in Boston, RC Productions is dedicated to promoting quality audio-visual services, teaching, and building the bridge between consumers and music. Our focus is to provide audiovisual expertise, to produce a unique and dynamic sound that creates a full and enjoyable experience.
ItsLitBoston is an Award-winning podcast featuring the dynamic hosts of Sam, Sho, and Wholesome Mike. The weekly show is about three regular guys, Raw, Inquisitive, and Judgement free, who only want to have an open dialogue about the state of affairs and its impact on our lives. The show features in-depth interviews with artists, community organizers, local business owners, and politicians while having hilarious conversations about everyday life. No conversation is off-limits, whether it is music, politics, sports, or pop culture. For the guys at ItsLitBoston, the mission is to create dynamic conversations through podcasting which in the end creates a form of therapy but without calling it therapy.

The Fierce Urgency of Now Festival brings together more than 1,000 diverse, young professionals of color and allies for 30+ transformative events. Organized by City Awake, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s young professional platform, this is the ultimate festival to build connections, advance careers, and ignite positive change.
This festival is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s. speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom where he described “the fierce urgency of now” — the pressing need for immediate action and lasting change in the face of racial injustice. Today and every day, we are answering this call to action to forge a more equitable, inclusive future for Greater Boston.
