Made up of 11 different agencies and organizations, the Boston Harbor Islands Partnership offers a wide variety of employment opportunities. The National Park Service (NPS) hires Boston Harbor Islands interpretive park rangers, visitor use assistants, education technicians and biological technicians on a seasonal basis. Most positions are for 6 months from spring to early fall.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) hires passionate individuals to manage campgrounds, deliver interpretive programs, interact with the public, and inspire our next generation of park stewards. Seasonal opportunities are generally offered on a long-term (May – October) and short-term (June – September) basis.
Boston Harbor Now, the park’s non-profit partner, frequently has opportunities for high school through graduate level internships in many fields including public programming, marketing, fundraising, planning and policy.
Thompson Island Outward Bound is employs qualified instructors to lead middle and high school-aged young people on exciting outdoor expeditions on the waters of Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay.
Trustees employees work as part of a dedicated team operating through offices across the Commonwealth. The Trustees offer full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions across a variety of skill sets.
