Group Permit Application

Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) requires that day visitors traveling in groups of 25 or over that will be engaged in common visitor activities obtain a Recreational Use Permit.

Recreational Use Permit/Free Trip Application

Use this online application only if the group will visit Georges, Spectacle, Peddocks, Bumpkin, or Grape islands and the activities do not require a Special Use Permit. Please remember to make your ferry reservations BEFORE applying for a permit and apply at least 2 weeks before the desired date of travel. Allow 7 business days for a response to your application.

Non-profit groups may also use this application to apply for free ferry tickets. There is a limited supply available and free tickets are typically allocated very early in the calendar year. Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 season.
