Join Kevin Levin for a discussion on "Boston's Memory of the Civil War"

Come to Georges Island in Boston Harbor, home of historic Fort Warren, where Kevin Levin, educator, writer, and author of the blog "Civil War Memory," will present a talk on the evolution of the Civil War's historical memory in America over the last 150 years with a focus on the city of Boston and the sesquicentennial anniversary.

This is the first talk in a series of programs this summer exploring the history of the Boston Harbor Islands.

This is a free program coordinated by the National Park Service.

Take the park ferry to this program.

During the summer season, park ferries depart frequently from Long Wharf, Boston; Hingham Shipyard; and Pemberton Point, Hull. We suggest arriving at the dock at least 30 minutes prior to departure to allow time for ticketing and boarding. Regular ferry fees apply.
